For the first time in history. The American public debt exceeds 31 trillion dollars

The U.S. Treasury Department

U.S. Treasury Department data revealed that the volume of U.S. public debt reached a record high of
more than $31 trillion for the first time in history.

As of October 3, the United States' debt was $31

trillion, $123 billion, 887 million,781, $401, and 34 cents. Most of the debt is owned by individuals, they have more than $24 trillion, and the U.S. debt to
foreign governments amounts to nearly $7 trillion.

The media is interested in the fact that in the face of high prices, debt servicing has become an increasingly
expensive task.

In mid-December, US President Joe Biden signed the law to increase the national debt limit by $2.5 trillion, to reach $31.4 trillion.

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki pointed out that this decision is not out of the ordinary. According to her, this has been done more than 80 times in the history of the United States.
